It serves an obvious need for a stopover but is really just a glorified caravan/motorhome parking area. As it is extremely close to the autobahn it is very noisy so ear plugs are a must if you want some sleep. The place is reasonably level with plenty of electric hook ups and the facilities were clean (50c for a 3 minute shower) but this is nothing more than an overnight halt. I went to book a table in the restaurant (5:45pm) only to be told that they stopped serving at 6:00pm!! We decided not to bother and watched as more and more vans/motorhomes crammed in. After sorting the caravan out, electrics, water etc. Due to bad weather and roadworks we arrived later than we had anticipated (4:45pm) but already the site was filling up.
